Videographer Sales Letter!

When is the last time you saw a videographer sales letter or marketing piece? Videographers are not marketing their services as much as they should. Maybe it’s because they have more clients than they can handle.

If you want to grow your video production business and beat your competition you should consider a more aggressive approach.

Small businesses and professionals need a good videographer for their marketing, in house training, or events. They probably did a search online or asked their friend who is a photographer to get the job done. Why not choose you first?

How A Videographer Can Get New Clients!

You can get your name in front of more prospects by targeting business owners or professionals that will need a videographer in the near future with a sales letter. For example, some target markets for your services include:

  • Brides-to-be.
  • Small businesses.
  • Insurance agencies.
  • Legal professionals.
  • Models and modeling agencies.
  • Law enforcement.
  • Event Planners.
  • And more.

You can also craft a letter to photographers in your area. Many of them need video for various gigs because they don’t want to do it themselves, or the video guy or gal they usually use turned out to be a flake or is not available (this happens all the time).

When you send your videographer sales letter I highly recommend you include a promotional item so that your business is constantly on the mind of your prospects long after they get your letter. Plus, when you include an item such as this it will add impact to your marketing letter (or package) which is proven to boost response rates.

Videographer Sales Letter Example:

The following letter is a good introductory letter to people who have shown interest in your services, or it’s a good follow up letter to your clients.

It’s also a letter a photographer can send to his or her list of clients in exchange for the same type of letter to your clients (this is a called an ‘endorsed mailing’).

Dear (Name),

We all know that videos are a great way to preserve treasured memories, but how many times have you been so busy shooting a special occasion that you weren’t able to really enjoy the event? And then when you sit down to view your efforts, do you groan at the results? The angle of the camera may have been askew; the lighting may not have been quite right; there may have been missed shots that you wish you had captured.

I can honestly say that the expert eye of a professional videographer can deliver magical results.

For over (?) years, I have been producing high quality videos that preserve many magic moments with top of the line equipment. Families trust me with their photographs, their footage, their memorabilia, and their stories. Think of the many milestones in a family!

  • New babies
  • Graduations
  • Weddings
  • Milestones like birthdays and anniversaries
  • Bar and Bat Mitzvahs
  • Retirement
  • The list goes on!

One of my favorite requests has been to record the story of an elderly family member – a video that would become a lasting family legacy. Hearing the voice of a loved one is a treasure with a value beyond measurement. I take age into consideration and offer sensitive time arrangements and flexible locations. Another popular request is to provide creative editing of existing videos. My editing and the addition of music and titles turn footage into something not less than spectacular.

I don’t limit my work to requests from individuals and families, but I also welcome requests from organizations and businesses! From footage of a nonprofit’s accomplishments to footage of a new business’ grand opening, I can provide videos that can be a powerful marketing tool.

If you are interested, please call me at (phone #) or email me at (email address). I would love the opportunity to show you my portfolio and discuss your video vision. The magic is within reach! I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Last Minute Marketing Tips For Videographers!

You don’t want to send a mass mailing letter like this to families who don’t know who you are because you won’t be targeting anyone. As described above, your best bet it to target specific markets that have a need for a videographer and craft your letter appropriately.

As always, send more than one letter to your target market. One letter is not going to get the job done. Send three letters and follow up with a phone call if possible (legally), and then follow up every couple of months with a postcard or newsletter.
