Business owners are busy people so you don’t rely upon one letter. Use the drip system. Send a letter once per month, and mix in a postcard in as well to save a little bit of money.

The reason you want to drip on them is because they may have a bookkeeper for the time being, but when that person is gone they will call you because you were consistent with your marketing efforts.

Over time you should slowly get one business owner after another grabbing up your services. You won’t get a flood of them knocking down your door but if you are consistent with your marketing you will be rewarded for your efforts, slowly but surely.
