Commercial Cleaning Janitorial Sales Letter!

A janitorial sales letter can be a great workhorse for your business. It’s like having a bunch of tiny little sales people prospecting for new clients for you but you don’t have to look over their shoulder every day.

I have friends in the commercial and industrial Janitorial business. They do well and rely on their sales staff to get new business in the door. It seems to work for them.

But if they used a system of marketing letters that target the businesses they want to get as clients they could save a bit of money on sales staff and even make their job a bit more fun.

Anyway, the trick here is to send a series of prospecting letters and then follow up on the phone.

If you are not following up on then you’ll need to tweak your sales letter and include a special offer with an expiration date. Each follow up letter should refer to the expiration date.

Anyone who does not respond should be on your mailing list. Mail them a postcard and/or a letter every month or every other month (a newsletter is an even better tool).

Followup Letter Using a Grabber!

This letter is a high impact letter which uses a ‘grabber’ to grab the attention of the reader. You can just about anything as a grabber. The key is to tie the grabber in with your offer and/or theme.

For example if you can help people save money then attache a penny or a nickel to the letter. You can even attach a million dollar bill, or a dollar bill. But don’t stop there. There are thousands of things you can use to grab the attention of your reader. I’ve written letters that use such items as a Jewelers Loupe, Dimes, and a round-tuit.

Dear Name,

As you can see I’ve attached a sanitary wipe to this letter. Why have I done this? Two reasons:

1. I have something important to tell you and I thought a ___________ would be sure to grab your attention.

2. Since myself and my reliable team of professionally trained technicians are eager to clean your (offices, workspaces etc.) and restrooms so that they look and smell fresh and clean every day I thought a sanitary wipe would be an appropriate attention grabbing eye catcher.

Here’s what this is all about…

My name is (name), owner of (name of business). About two or three weeks ago I sent you a letter but I did not hear from you so I thought I would try again.

Final Thoughts.

As I stated above, you need to send a series of letters and if possible follow up on the phone. And all non responders should be on your monthly or bi-monthly mailing list.

You can send postcards and even a newsletter. I know, you’re thinking, ‘A newsletter? We don’t have any news!’ Wrong. Newsletters are fun and they work really well. Make it fun and entertaining as well as provide helpful information.

Postcard idea: The headline of your follow up postcard could be something like this:
