12 years ago my wife wanted to buy a business. She was working for a massive telecommunications company at the time and she was burned out from the constant salary cuts and long hours.

As a result, we decided to look for a business for sale that she was interested in and that she felt confident she could run. We spent a few weeks  banging our heads against the wall because we couldn’t find an established business that interested her, except for one. A music store.

But the price they were asking was ridiculous. Plus, it was losing money and it was in a very competitive market locally, and the online competition in this market is intimidating.

I decided to take things into my own hands. I have a friend who has been talking to me about his successful tanning salon franchise at the time, so I asked my wife if that business sounded like something she would like to run.

She said yes, and I immediately go to work.

Trade Show Follow Up Letter Sample

tradeshow passTrade show marketing can fun lucrative if you do it right. And having a sound, proven trade show marketing plan is key to your success in generating leads and closing sales.

One of the tools you’ll need is a trade show follow up letter with prospects you met and gathered contact information from.

I’ll leave all the details on how to properly generate qualified leads for a later date. But for now I want to show you a sample follow up letter for a salon and spa tradeshow. Keep in mind that you can model this letter for any industry. And also keep in mind that you should have a sequenced follow up. Don’t just send one letter. Hand ShakeA follow up letter is something that can be over-thought, because usually the writer of the letter really wants all the main selling points to be summarized in the letter so that you can close the deal in the letter. Which almost never happens.

The following financial advisor letter example be modeled for financial planning, estate planning, or retirement planning.

There is another example of a financial services letter here (bottom of page). It might even be better than this one, but you be the judge. Secondly, it uses a different type of ‘grabber’ so you should check it out anyway.

Here is a better financial advisor letter for marketing because it uses a ‘Grabber’ to ‘Grab’ the attention of your prospect (you can use any type of Grabber we are partial to the million dollar bill. For examples of other attention ‘grabbers’ read this):

Free Mortgage Sales Letter!

The following mortgage sales letter shown below is a hard hitting emotional direct response style letter. It could use a little touching up. It’s a model for a mortgage direct mail sales letter.

It uses a ‘Grabber’ on the top of the letter which forces people who open the envelope to read the entire letter, or at least give it a good look over.

What to Include with the Sales Letter!

Wait, don’t mail that letter yet!

Why waste your time and efforts when you can include some additional sales material.

Include a self-addressed stamped return envelope or reply card for quick, easy action on the part of the reader. Add a sheet with testimonials from happy, satisfied clients as reference for you and your products.

You want to sell yourself and your service.

Some other items to add are business cards – one for the reader and one or more for their spouse and friends and a mini-biography of you with a short resume and photo so that you won’t be a “stranger” any longer. Continue reading What to Include with the Sales Letter!
