New Service Announcement Letter System!

If you want to launch a new service or product with a letter system there is no better way to learn than from a real world small business that actually did it.

In this guide you will get a detailed close up look at a launch we did for a new airbrush tanning service in our salon. In addition you’ll get a second announcement letter example that you can model for the insurance industry.

If you are thinking, ‘These are not my industries’, you are missing the boat. Any letter or system can be modeled in another industry and work just as well or even better.

As a matter of fact I modeled the letter and postcard in this example from a small business that sells designer suits to men.

Below is a sales letter we used to announce our new Mystic Tan booth (we followed up with a postcard which is included after the sales letter). This was a very successful promotion because it drove new and old customers back to the salon, putting several thousand dollars in our pocket in the front end and generating a constant flow of repeat business and referrals for years.

The key to the success of this new service announcement was to follow up with a postcard and a phone call (use a third postcard or letter if you don’t want to use the phone).

Follow up is very important when you are doing a promotion because often times people forget about you within minutes and they need to be reminded of your new product or service.

This works exceptionally well when you have an expiration date (this is essential on almost all promotions).

By the way, we also had our staff politely follow up on the phone.

You can model this for any service you have in your salon or small business. You can even do this if you have had a service or product that is not getting very much attention as you were expecting. Especially if it is buried in the back of your business.

Real Estate Investor Letter System!

A well thought out real estate investor marketing letter system can produce qualified leads. But you have to do it properly and you have to be consistent not only in your messaging but in your follow up marketing letter system.

Often a marketing system fails because a short cut was taken to save money. I understand that. Direct mail marketing is costly.

But I am confident that if you choose a good list and send a well written sequence of letters (seven to ten days apart) and they have the right messaging you can get a deal or two in the pipeline, and perhaps more.

The following letter sequence is an example that you can model (or get ideas from) for your marketing campaign.

Gym Sales Letter Sample!

If you target prospective new clients with a gym sales letter you might get a constant flow of new business.

Advertising online, in the local coupon books, and with groupon is always a good idea. But one thing your competition is not doing is using direct mail.

If you spend time looking for a good list and mailing a personalized letter to the people on this list you just might hit the jackpot.

For example you can get a highly targeted list of men or women who subscribe to a particular health magazine. You can get a list of people who recently bought a health or fitness product from a infomercial on TV. These are just two of many targeted lists of people who are interested in getting fit and healthy.

You can also get a simple list of men or women or both who are a certain age and income bracket and live within any distance from your gym or fitness club.

Be sure to read the additional tips below the letter.

A well crafted laser targeted restaurant sales letter is one of many ways to get new customers in the door to your restaurant or deli.

Here are two examples of letters you can model for your business. The first letter is for a pizza shop owner and the second one is for a deli or any restaurant that serves lunch.

By the way, just because each letter is written for specific type of restaurant it does not mean that you can’t model them for your business.

You can get a list of real estate agents in minutes from dozens of list companies online, including infousa.com.

Send a quality home staging sales letter to all or just the top agents in your market area.

You should include a promotional item (with your information printed on them) in your envelope. Or a day or two after your letter hits the mailboxes of your targeted list of agents, hit pavement and drop off a bunch of quality promotional items at their office.

Find A Business For Sale Using A Simple Letter!

12 years ago my wife wanted to buy a business. She was working for a massive telecommunications company at the time and she was burned out from the constant salary cuts and long hours.

As a result, we decided to look for a business for sale that she was interested in and that she felt confident she could run. We spent a few weeks  banging our heads against the wall because we couldn’t find an established business that interested her, except for one. A music store.

But the price they were asking was ridiculous. Plus, it was losing money and it was in a very competitive market locally, and the online competition in this market is intimidating.

I decided to take things into my own hands. I have a friend who has been talking to me about his successful tanning salon franchise at the time, so I asked my wife if that business sounded like something she would like to run.

She said yes, and I immediately go to work.

How To Write A Sales Letter!

There is no magic combination of words that will guarantee you’ll write a sales letter that produces a huge response. If someone tells you that they can guarantee you’ll get a flood of leads or profits with their ad copy then you should run for the hills as fast as you can because it’s nonsense.

To have the best chance of achieving a successful response rate from your sales letter you have to do more than just write ad copy well. Even the best sales letter ever written will fail miserably if it’s sent to the wrong people.

  • What do you think the response rate will be if you want to sell dog collars and you send your dog collar sales letter to a bunch of cat owners?
  • If you want to sell motorcycle insurance and most of your list is made up of people who don’t ride motorcycles you are probably not going to get a good response.
  • But, if you want to sell your real estate photography services to realestate agents and you send a well written sales letter to the top agents in your area, you may get a satisfactory or good response rate.

In other words make sure you do your research and target the correct audience. After you do this, then you can start writing your sales letter.

Autoresponder Letter Examples!

If you have an online presence of any sort, whether it be a content rich site, a small business, or ecommerce, you must to have an autresponder. If you don’t know what an autresponder is please read this article.

A good autoresponder will provide quality information on a regular and timed basis interspersed with a soft sell. A rule of thumb I use is for every 7 bits of quality information I will send a sales letter or link to one. Other marketers use a rule of thumb of 3 to 1. I am even seeing a 1 to 1 ratio, which is absurd in my opinion but they seem to be doing well.

Another option which I prefer, but it depends on the niche, is to combine quality information with a soft sell for lead generation.

Here Is A Sample Autoresponder Letter Sequence Using A Combination Of Quality Information and A Soft Sell!
