Before you simply mail a jewelry store prospecting or marketing letter like this you must do your research. Who is your ideal customer? Once you have figure this out then get a mailing list that fits those requirements.

Another option is to get a list of homeowners within 10 or 20 miles of your location. Fine tune this list and narrow it down to a certain household income you are comfortable with and then do a test mailing. You can get a quality list from numerous sources online.

Real Estate Prospecting Letters To Seniors!

One of the fastest growing segments of the population is the senior demographic. After World War II ended there was a large increase in babies being born (between 1946 – 1964).  If you were born between these years congratulations, you are a Baby Boomer.

Prospecting Vacation and Second Home Owners For Real Estate Listings!

My wife and I owned two vacation properties up in the mountains for 12 years. We rented them as both vacation rentals and long term rentals. One of them was a long term rental for several years, the other was mainly a vacation rental.

We know what it’s like to deal with vacationers, tenants, house cleaners, contractors, handymen, and vacation rental companies. It’s not easy.

On top of all that you have to deal with maintenance, neighbors, property taxes, etc. etc.

It can be very challenging especially if your property does not age well.

With that said, in my opinion you need to hit on the hot buttons of the mental and financial costs of maintaining a vacation home or second home without sounding like a jerk.

Aside from using a personal trainer sales letter on your website and marketing yourself online you should consider another underrated medium; direct mail. Very few people are using it and when they do they are not using it well.

There are numerous list companies that can generate a mailing list of people simply based off of gender, age, and income. But other more refined lists are available as well, depending on your area.

For example you can get a list of people who own a treadmill, a mountain bike, or subscribe to a womens or mens health magazine. You can even get lists of people who bought a fitness product or weight loss product online or from an informercial.

Imagine if you bought a list of people who purchased an ab machine. You can craft a sales letter just for them.

Seasonal Email Letter Campaigns For Retail Marketing!

Let’s discus how to use seasonal email letter campaigns to build demand for your retail sale or event.

A sequence of email marketing letters can work like gang busters. But they will work even better if you combine them with direct mail and text message marketing.

What we did successfully in our business for years was send out at least one postcard or a sales letter  (usually a sequence of two and three) to our clients informing them of a sale we were having. Every sales was themed around a season, holiday, or an event.

We sent out a sequence of 4 email marketing letters in addition to a postcard or direct mail sales letter. Everything was timed to hit all of our customers starting two or three weeks out. We sent up to five emails which where spread anywhere from 3-7 days apart.  The final email was always sent on the day of the sale or event.

We also included a text message marketing sequence as well. This way we hit every customer or client on our list up to three different ways at different times and days. This is important because you never know which type of contact is the one that is going to drive your customers to your sale.
